Ngong Rd – Kibera – Langata Dual Carriageway Link

DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT: 54 Months for Design Review, Supervision and Defects Liability Period
SCOPE OF CONSTRUCTION WORKS: The scope entailed construction of 4.5 km four-lane two-way dual carriageway with 2 lane service roads at select locations. The road incorporated cycle and pedestrian tracks on both sides of the carriageway (NMT Facilities) and Street lighting. Other elements were the construction of Structures on
the road which included box culverts, a major river bridge and grade separating structures across one railway line and three major roads which include Ngong road, Southern Bypass Road, Mashimoni and Lindi roads. A section of approximately 1 km traverse settlement of Kibera slums which is densely populated with the road reserve requiring clearance as it was fully encroached.
